🪑 Getting Started - Peblla Table, Reservations & Waitlist

Peblla Table is where you take and manage reservations. You set the rules in the Store Portal, your team runs the floor from the Peblla Table tablet, and any deposit a guest paid follows them to the POS. Walk-ins are handled on the waitlist.

This guide points you to the article for each step.

1. Set up your reservations in the Store Portal

Go to Store Portal > Table Service > Peblla Table and work through these four pages.

2. Run the floor on the Peblla Table tablet

Sign in to the tablet with your store account. Everything your team does during service happens here.

3. Put the deposit toward the check on the POS

When the guest sits down, open their table from the reservation and apply what they already paid to their bill: POS Table Service - How to Apply a Reservation Deposit.

4. Handle walk-ins with the waitlist

Walk-ins are managed from Store Portal > Table Service > Waitlist & Reservation, on the Waitlist tab: Table Service - Waitlist.

FAQ

How do I get Peblla Table turned on for my store?

If the Peblla Table pages show "Related functions are disabled. Please contact the Sales or Peblla Support Team to enable Peblla Table.", it has not been turned on for your store yet. Email [email protected] to get it enabled.

What order should I set things up in?

Set up your reservation configuration in this order: Policy > Table Type > Schedule. Every table type needs a policy, and every schedule needs table types. Once those are in place, use Table Service - Peblla Table General Settings to open online booking and set the rules guests meet when they book.

Do I have to ask guests for a deposit?

No. Each policy is either No Deposit or Require Deposit, so you can ask for a deposit on some table types and not others.

One thing to keep in mind: table types that require a deposit are not included in Auto-Match by Party Size. If you want guests to book them online, set your online reservation strategy to Customer Choose Table Type.

Can my staff still take reservations when online booking is off?

Yes. With Online Reservation switched off, guests can no longer create reservations online, but your staff can still create and manage reservations in Peblla Table. The same is true of the Cutoff Time on a schedule — it only affects online bookings.

How does a deposit get onto the guest’s check?

It does not happen on its own. The table has to be opened from the reservation on the POS, and someone has to tap [Deposit Info] on the payment page. Once it is applied, the check and the receipt show Applied Deposit: -$XX.XX above the total. See POS Table Service - How to Apply a Reservation Deposit.

A deposit only covers the food and drink subtotal, so it does not go toward auto-gratuity or other added fees. Collect that part as you normally would.

The guest cancelled, or their deposit was larger than the check. How do I give the money back?

Deposit refunds are done from the reservation in Peblla Table, not on the POS. Open the reservation, scroll to Deposit and tap [Refund Deposit]; it needs manager PIN verification and the guest is emailed a refund receipt. You can also refund as part of cancelling, by choosing No Refund, Partial Refund or Full Refund. See Peblla Table - Deposits.

Refunding on the POS only gives back what the guest paid at the table — the deposit itself still has to be refunded in Peblla Table.
