A table type is a group of tables that guests choose from when they book — for example Standard Table, Patio, or Large Party Table. A table type can hold single tables and combined tables (two or more tables put together for one party). In this article, you will learn how to build your table types and set their capacity.
Set up your reservation configuration in this order: Policy > Table Type > Schedule. Every table type needs a policy, and every schedule needs table types.
📖 Tutorial
Navigate to Peblla Store Portal > Table Service > Peblla Table, then open [Table Type] from the menu on the left.
Create a Table Type
Click [New Table Type] and work through the three steps.
Step 1 — Add Tables
Pick the tables that belong to this table type, by service area.
Tables that do not have a capacity yet need Min covers and Max covers. These are party sizes, not seat counts — the page reminds you with "Min ≤ Max; use party size, not seat count".
You can pick tables from more than one service area.
To create a combined table, select two or more tables. Combined tables cannot span service areas.
Select at least one table or combination.
Step 2 — Settings
Policy | The policy this table type runs on — it decides whether a deposit is required and what the cancellation window is. |
Reservation Notes | Optional. Up to 1,000 characters. Guests see these notes when they book this table type. |
Step 3 — Overview
Table Type Name | Up to 75 characters. Cannot repeat an existing table type name. |
Queue Prefix | Required. Up to 2 capital letters. |
Capacity summary | Total covers, maximum party size, and the minimum / maximum covers, calculated from the tables you selected. |
The page explains how the numbers are worked out: "These values are calculated from unique physical tables. Combined tables don't increase total covers; they only affect the maximum party size."
Review the summary and click [Save].
Add Photos
Use Gallery to show guests what the table looks like when they book. The uploader states the requirements: "The first photo customers see. Best at 1200px or wider. JPG or PNG only. Max 2 MB per file. Up to 5 photos."
Edit or Delete a Table Type
Editing a table type does not change reservations that already exist.
You cannot delete a table type that future reservations are still using — the delete button is greyed out. Move those reservations to another table type first.
