A policy decides whether a table type requires a deposit, how that deposit is calculated, and how long before a reservation guests can still cancel for free. In this article, you will learn how to create and manage the policies your reservations run on.
Set up your reservation configuration in this order: Policy > Table Type > Schedule. Every table type needs a policy, and every schedule needs table types.
📖 Tutorial
Navigate to Peblla Store Portal > Table Service > Peblla Table, then open [Policy] from the menu on the left.
If these pages show "Related functions are disabled. Please contact the Sales or Peblla Support Team to enable Peblla Table.", Peblla Table has not been turned on for your store yet. Email [email protected] to get it enabled.
Create a Policy
Click [New Policy] and fill in the three sections below, then click [Save].
Booking Method
No Deposit | Guests can book this table type without paying anything up front. |
Require Deposit | Guests are asked to pay a deposit when they book. The deposit can later be applied to their check on the POS. |
Deposit Pricing Model
This section appears only when you choose Require Deposit.
Flat | One fixed amount. Choose By Person to multiply the amount by the party size, or By Party to charge it once per reservation. |
Tiered by party size | Different amounts for different party sizes. |
Amounts support two decimal places.
Cancellation
Set how many hours before the reservation guests can still cancel free of charge.
Edit or Delete a Policy
Open a policy from the list to edit it, or use the delete option on the policy card.
Editing a policy applies to new reservations only. Reservations that already exist keep the terms they were booked under.
You cannot delete a policy while a table type is using it — the delete button is greyed out. Assign that table type to another policy first.
Good to Know
Table types that require a deposit are not included in Auto-Match by Party Size. If you want guests to book them online, set your online reservation strategy to Customer Choose Table Type on the General Settings page.
