In this article, you will learn how to configure In-house and DoorDash Delivery.

Restaurants can deliver meals either through their employees or by partnering with DoorDash. If both options are available, the delivery method can be switched through the POS or Store Portal, allowing the use of DoorDash when the restaurant's staff is busy.

Inhouse Delivery Configuration

Navigate to Store Portal - [Settings] - [Delivery Setting] - [Inhouse Delivery] to access the in-house delivery configuration page.

Turn on the Inhouse delivery button.

Set Details for In-house Delivery

Maximum Delivery Distance:

When customers enter their address, the system calculates the distance from the restaurant. If it is beyond the delivery range, the system notifies the customer.

Distance Calculation Method:

How the system calculates the distance to a location.

Minimum Delivery Order Amount:

The order must meet the minimum amount for delivery. If not, the payment button remains inactive.

Delivery Fee Configuration:

To set delivery fees, click [Charge delivery fee]. You can then charge by distance, set the initial delivery distance and fee, and optionally set a minimum order amount for this distance. If the order reaches a certain amount, the delivery fee is waived.

To offer free delivery, click [Free delivery].

Estimated Delivery Time:

Customers can see the estimated delivery time when placing an order.

Note for Customers:

This information will only appear on the delivery information page. (For example: "Only accepts delivery orders within 10 miles.")

Driver Tip Settings:

Enter the tip percentage for the delivery driver (based on the order amount), click [Add tip] to create a new option, and check Default Selection to set it as the default.

Receipt Notification:

Notification will be sent to the customer via the app or SMS after the store has accepted the order. Click [Save].

Calculation method for delivery personnel's tips:

(Subtotal + Packaging Fee + Taxes & Fees + Large Order Service + Delivery Fee) * Driver Tip Set Ratio

DoorDash Delivery Configuration

Navigate to Store Portal - [Settings] - [Delivery Setting] - [DoorDash Delivery] to access the DoorDash delivery configuration page.

Turn on the DoorDash delivery button.

Configure Advanced Settings

Max Delivery Distance:

The order must meet the minimum amount for delivery. If not, the payment button remains inactive.

Delivery Fee Configuration:

To set delivery fees, click [Charge delivery fee]. You can then charge by distance, set the initial delivery distance and fee, and optionally set a minimum order amount for this distance. If the order reaches a certain amount, the delivery fee is waived.

Note for the Delivery Driver:

Driver Tip Settings:

DoorDash delivery defaults to a 20% tip, but you can click [Add tip] to include other options.

Receipt Notification:

This notification will be sent to the customer through the app or SMS after the order is acknowledged. Click [Save].

After placing an order, customers can track its status in the order list. Once the driver accepts the order, customers can monitor the delivery status in real-time.

Preferred Delivery Method Setting

Restaurants can choose a preferred delivery service. They can switch between delivery methods via the POS or Store Admin, using DoorDash when their staff is occupied. When both delivery methods are available, the preferred option in the top right corner can be used for deliveries.

POS instructions

Access [Settings] from the main menu.

Click [Online Order Auto-Acceptance]

Enter the PIN at the bottom of the page after selecting your preferred delivery method.
