In this article, you will learn how to configure order discount promotions. The promotion offers a discount either by percentage or a fixed amount.

How to Configure Order Discounts

Promotion Settings:
Name: Name the promotion in the textbox.
Description: Input the necessary description here. (For example, promotion rules.)
Internal Note: Note for internal use only. Customers will not be able to see this.
Participation Type:
Choose how customers join this promotion. This is set to Standard by default.
Standard: The promotion follows your store's automatic promotion setting. When automatic promotions are on, it applies on its own as soon as the order qualifies. When they are off, it is listed on the checkout page for the customer to choose.
Promo Code: The promotion only applies after the customer enters a valid code at checkout. It is never listed on the checkout page, even when automatic promotions are off.
Note: Participation Type cannot be changed after you save the promotion. On the edit page it is shown as view-only. If you need the other type, create a new promotion.
When you choose Promo Code, a Code section appears. Choose Custom to set a single code yourself, or Multiple Codes to generate a batch of unique codes. The code you enter is what customers see at checkout.
Participation Limits is on this page for both types. Use it to limit how many times the promo can be used in total, or to restrict it to one use per customer.
Customers can enter a promo code on your app, online ordering page, and kiosk. Once the code is accepted, the discount amount is shown on the checkout page.
Promotion Rules:
Promotion Scope: Certain categories or items can be specifically included or excluded as part of this promotion's prerequisites.
Percentage: Receive the promotions by percentage. (For example, 15% off.)
Fixed Amount: Receive the promotions by a fixed amount. (For example, $5 off.)
Minimum Amount: The promotion becomes valid once a certain threshold is met, like getting $5 off on orders over $20.

Standard Orders: Orders placed by individuals
Group Order: Group order is only available on the app.
Please make sure to include [App] when you configure the Participating Channels.
Participating Channels
This promotion is only available on app and web for now.
Participating Stores
Include or exclude particular stores from the promotion.
Active Dates
Select the effective time, end time is optional.
Click [Special Hours] if you want the promotion to be used on special hours or days.
Click [Save].
How to View Promotion Details
In the [Promote Event List], find the [Ongoing Events] list to view the current promotions. Click the [blue] button for event details or the [red] button to deactivate any promotional event.
On the event details page, you can see the total amount, order count, and participant numbers. You can also update the event's description and internal notes. Other settings are fixed. Please deactivate and set up a new promotion for any other changes.
In the [Past Events] list, view expired events. Click [Active] to reactivate any that have expired but are still within their validity period.
How to Use the Promotion
On top of the ordering page, customers can see available promotions.
Add all items to the cart, including the rewarded items. Then go to the Checkout page, and click [Coupon/Promotion].
Choose a promotion and click [Done].
When applied, promotions can also be accessed from this location.
