In this article, you will learn how to configure the "Buy One Get One" discount promotion. Customers can benefit from a discount or a price reduction on one item when they order multiple items. This strategy motivates customers to visit the restaurant more often and enhances their eagerness to experiment with different dishes.

Note:

  • This promotion is currently available exclusively on the app and website.

  • For promotions involving multiple items, once the promotional threshold is met—whether with identical or varied dishes—the discount applies to the dish with the lowest price.

  • The promotion is cumulative. (For instance, if the offer is set as "buy one bubble tea, get one free," customers purchasing two bubble teas will receive two additional bubble teas for free.)

  • Toppings are not included.

How to Configure Buy 1 Get 1 Discount

Enterprise Portal:

Navigate to Enterprise Portal - [Promotions] - [Promotions] - [Increase Average Order Value] - [Buy 1 Get 1 Discount]

Store Portal:

Navigate to Store Portal - [Promotions] - [Promotions] - [Increase Average Order Value] - [Buy 1 Get 1 Discount]

Coupon Settings:

Name: Name the promotion in the textbox.

Description: Input the necessary description here. (For example, promotion rules.)

Internal Note: Note for internal use only. Customers will not be able to see this.

Promotion Rules:

Minimum Quantity: The specific quantity customers must meet to qualify for the promotion.

Promotion Scope: Certain categories or items can be specifically included or excluded as part of this promotion's prerequisites.

Rewards

Specified items must be added to the cart to apply for the promotion.

Participating Channels

You may include or exclude specific channels. For now, this promotion can only be used on the app and website.

Participating Stores

Choose the store participating in the promotional event.

Activate Dates

Choose when the promotion starts, and end time is optional.

Click [Special Hours] if you want the promotion to be used in special hours or days.

Click [Save].

How to View Promotion Details

In the [Promote Event List], find the [Ongoing Events] list to view the current promotions. Click the [blue] button for event details or the [red] button to deactivate any promotional event.

On the [Event Details Page], you can see the total amount, order count, and participant numbers. You can also update the event's description and internal notes. (Other settings are fixed.) Please deactivate and set up a new promotion for any other changes.

In the [Past Events list], view expired events. Click [Active] to reactivate any that have expired but are still within their validity period.

How Customers Can Use the Promotion

On top of the ordering page, customers can see available promotions.

Add all items to the cart, including the rewarded items. Then go to the Checkout page, and click [Coupon/Promotion].

Choose a promotion and click [Done].

After being successfully applied, promotions can also be accessed from this location.
