Menu - Set Up Combo

In this article, you will learn how to use the combo feature to set up combo.

Updated over a week ago

The combo feature allows you to sell multiple items as a set, and each individual item would still be available for customization. Peblla's combo feature could accommodate many types of combo meal settings. While the standard combo setting could fulfill most demands, the advanced settings allow for more flexibility. In the following article, we will walk you through both settings with examples.

📖 Tutorial

Navigate to Store Portal - [Menu] - [Combo]

In the combo list, click the edit button under the [Base Price] column to edit the price. Click the calculator button to calculate the approximate revenue.

For example, the green Max value under Base Price represents the highest possible combo price based on the base price, considering possible changes in customer item selection. The Max and Base values under the Item Price Sum column indicate how much a customer would pay if they purchased each item in the combo individually. The values in parentheses show the discount the customer receives by purchasing the combo.

In the example, the yellow value represents the system-calculated amount. If the value in parentheses is green, it indicates the discount the customer gets by purchasing the combo compared to buying each item individually. If there is a red value with a "+" sign, it indicates that the combo is not offering a discount (+0%) or is more expensive than buying the items individually (+xx%).

It is recommended to offer discounts through combos to promote sales (keep the value in parentheses green).

In the [Action] column, you can list / unlist, edit, and mark the combo as sold out. When an item in the combo is unlisted or sold out, and the combo no longer meets the minimum sale conditions, the combo will automatically be marked as sold out.

For example, in a "Pick 2 out of 3" combo, if 2 out of 3 items are sold out, the combo no longer meets the minimum requirements and will be marked as sold out. Similarly, if one item is set as mandatory item in a combo, if the mandatory item is sold out, the combo will also be marked as sold out because the mandatory item is part of the combo rule.

Standard Settings:

Click [Add Combo] to create a new combo

To create a combo, enter the combo name in the [Combo Name] text box and the combo alias name in the [Combo Alias Name] text box. Click [Category], then click [Next] to proceed to the next step.

For multi-size items, you can choose to select either all sizes or just a specific size. Once the selection is complete, click [Next] to proceed to the next step.

The [Customer Selectable] switch is off by default, meaning all items added to this group will be mandatory for customers to select. You can enable this switch to set the number of items customers can choose. 'Min' represents the minimum number of items customers can select from this group, and 'Max' represents the maximum number. If the minimum and maximum values are identical, customers can only choose that fixed number of items. If the two numbers are different, customers are allowed to choose any number between the minimum and maximum values.

In the standard settings, you can customize the price or set it as free. Under the default column, select the combo group(s) you wish to set as default. Click [Complete] to save the combo configuration.
