If your store always takes payment before food goes to the kitchen, you can hide the [Send] button on the Quick Service order screen. With it hidden, an order can only reach the kitchen after payment is completed, so nothing goes out unpaid by mistake.
This setting is on by default, so the [Send] button stays visible until you choose to hide it.

Store Portal > Settings > Order Settings > POS Order Screen tab > Quick Service card > Show Send Button
How to show or hide the Send button
Log in to the Store Portal and go to Settings > Order Settings.
Open the POS Order Screen tab. You will see two cards: Quick Service and Table Service.
In the Quick Service card, set Show Send Button to what you need: on to show [Send], off to hide it.
Click [Save]. Your POS and Mobile POS devices follow the new setting on the Quick Service order screen.
When you switch it off, the portal reminds you: When turned off, the Send button is hidden in Quick Service. Orders are sent only after payment is completed.
What your cashiers see
Show Send Button on (default) - the [Send] button is on the Quick Service order screen, and your team can send items to the kitchen before payment, the same as before.
Show Send Button off - the [Send] button is gone. Your team takes the order and collects payment, and the order is sent to the kitchen once payment is completed. [Hold], [Pay] and every other button stay the same.
Good to know
The setting applies to your whole store, on both POS and Mobile POS. It is not split by order type (Dine In, Pickup, Takeout).
Table Service is not affected - the [Send] button stays on the Table Service order screen.
Hiding [Send] does not stop orders from reaching the kitchen. It only removes the manual option, and the order still goes to the kitchen after payment.
If a device is offline, it keeps using the last setting that was saved successfully.
To bring the button back, turn Show Send Button back on and save.
