In this article, you will learn how to set up friends and family or employee discounts.

Updated over a week ago

Looking to share some exclusive discounts with your friends, family, and local shop owners, regardless of whether they're familiar faces to the store staff? You can make it happen by setting up a personalized membership group. This ensures they always get special treatment whenever they use their designated phone numbers to make purchases.

🎉 Friends & Family Discount: 25% Off

📌 Difference between Friends&Family/Employee Discount and Student/Military/Senior Discount

  • The Friends & Family/Employee Discount needs to be configured on the enterprise portal and can be used multiple times.

  • The Student/Military/Senior Discount requires in-store validation and is intended for one-time use only. Therefore, we recommend applying it exclusively through in-store POS.

📖 Tutorial

The custom member group can only be set up on the Enterprise Portal. Under the corporate admin, find [Member] - [Member Center]. You can see [Custom Member Group] on the bottom right corner.

Select [+ Add Member Group] to create a new group.

Define a group name. This will be the benefit name that shows on the checkout page.

Click the [+Add] button to search add existing member.

If this is an account that has not signed up yet, use the Member Batch Import function to import their account first.

After selecting the user, you should be able to see the list of members included in the group. Then, define the discount amount.

If you believe that 25% is already a great deal and don't want this group to enjoy additional discounts, you can check the [Limit] box. Members within this group will then be excluded from any other ongoing promotions.

If you own multiple stores and only want this promotion to be available in certain stores, remember to limit the channels or the stores available.

You can send out a message via push notification (if the customer has downloaded the app) or SMS, and let members know their enrollment. All variables are listed under the text box. "Member Level" is the Group Name, and the "Member Benefit" is the discount offered. If the member has not entered their first name in the system, then by default we will use "member."

Once you hit the [Save] button, the notification will be sent out.
