In this article, you will learn how to set up your kitchen printer, including configuring its printing contents and print style. We will guide you through each step of the setup process to customizing the print format to suit your restaurant's needs.

Printer Settings
The kitchen printers can be configured on Store Portal - [Devices] - [Printer].
Click [+Kitchen] to add a new kitchen printer.
Name
Input a unique name for each printer station.
Printer Manufacturer
Select the corresponding printer brand. Since some of the following features will be affected by different printer manufacturers, please select the manufacturers first.
Interface Type
Choose how the printer is connected to the POS.
USB: USB cable connection
Interface Cable: Ethernet cable or Wifi connection
POS Inside: Built-In printer of the countertop POS
Code Page
This will only appear if you select Gprinters. Select "2:PC850(Multilingual)" if you need to print multilingual kitchen tickets.
Buzzer on
This function will only be applicable to G-printers and Star Printers. You can choose to let printers buzz when tickets are printed.
(Note: if you have a Star printer, please make sure you have an external buzzer attached before turning on the buzzer notification, or it might damage the device.)
Print QR-Code
Print branded app download QR-Code on all kitchen tickets.
Print Item With
Choose to display the full name or alias name of the item when printing. The item alias name can be set under Store Portal - [Menu] - [Items].
Print Scope
Print Custom Item
Print custom items on kitchen tickets.
Print Item
You can choose to print [All Items] or [Special Items].
Note that if you select [All items and future items] under each category, any item added to the category will be automatically assigned to this printer. Otherwise, you need to reconfigure the new item printing.
Print Add-Ons
Similar to items, you can choose to print [All add-ons] or just [Special add-ons].
Print by Dining Type
Select the corresponding dining type if you only need this kitchen printer to print for certain dining types.
Split Print
You can choose to print the entire order on one ticket, or one item per ticket.
Number of Order Times
In All You Can Eat concepts, to improve customer experience and reduce food waste, the kitchen can see the number of times a customer has ordered when printing the kitchen order. The kitchen can then prepare the right amount of food according to the number of orders.
Print Style
You can customize the printing style.
You can refer to the mock-up on the right to adjust the printing style.
Important: only Star Printers can use the Extra Large font size.
Once the configuration is completed, click [Save] to apply all settings.
