In this article, you will learn how to set up your kitchen printer, including configuring its printing contents and print style. We will guide you through each step of the setup process to customizing the print format to suit your restaurant's needs.

Printer Settings
The kitchen printers can be configured on Peblla Store Portal - [Devices] - [Printer].
Click [+Kitchen] to add a new kitchen printer.
Name
Input a unique name for each printer station.
Printer Manufacturer
Select the corresponding printer brand. Since some of the following features will be affected by different printer manufacturers, please select the manufacturers first.
Interface Type
Choose how the printer is connected to the POS.
USB: USB cable connection
Interface Cable: Ethernet cable or Wifi connection
POS Inside: Built-In printer of the countertop POS
Code Page
This will only appear if you select Gprinters. Select "2:PC850(Multilingual)" if you need to print multilingual kitchen tickets.
Buzzer on
This function will only be applicable to G-printers and Star Printers. You can choose to let printers buzz when tickets are printed.
(Note: if you have a Star printer, please make sure you have an external buzzer attached before turning on the buzzer notification, or it might damage the device.)
Print QR-Code
Print branded app download QR-Code on all kitchen tickets.
Print Item With
Choose to display the full name or alias name of the item when printing. The item alias name can be set under Peblla Store Portal - [Menu] - [Items].
Item Sort on Ticket
Choose the order in which items print on kitchen tickets from this printer. You can pick one of three options:
[Add-to-Cart Order] (default): items print in the order they were added to the cart.
[Alphabetical]: items are sorted by the name printed on the kitchen ticket.
[Seat Number]: each guest's items print together. Items in Share print first, followed by Seat 1, Seat 2 and so on. Within each seat, items print in the order they were added to the cart.
When you use [Seat Number]:
Only items assigned to a seat when the order was placed are sorted by seat. If an order has no seat numbers, the ticket prints in add-to-cart order. To assign seats, see How to Use Seat Numbers.
If you use courses, items are grouped by course first, then sorted by seat within each course.
Combos and add-ons stay with the item they belong to.
Only the order of items changes. Seat labels (S1, S2 and so on) still print after each item, and the ticket layout stays the same.
When you send more items to the kitchen later, the new ticket only includes the newly sent items, sorted within that ticket.
Reprinted tickets use the printer's current setting. If the setting was changed after the first print, the reprint may be in a different order.
Third-party orders don't have seat numbers, so their tickets are not affected.
Each printer has its own setting, so you can change only the printers that need it. Your existing printers keep their current setting. They are not switched to [Seat Number] automatically.
Print Scope
Print Custom Item
Print custom items on kitchen tickets.
Print Item
You can choose to print [All Items] or [Special Items].
Note that if you select [All items and future items] under each category, any item added to the category will be automatically assigned to this printer. Otherwise, you need to reconfigure the new item printing.
Print Add-Ons
Similar to items, you can choose to print [All add-ons] or just [Special add-ons].
Print by Dining Type
Select the corresponding dining type if you only need this kitchen printer to print for certain dining types.
Split Print
You can choose to print the entire order on one ticket, or one item per ticket.
Show Items from Other Devices
When the items in one order are routed to more than one kitchen printer or display, turn this on to add an OTHER ITEMS section at the bottom of this printer’s ticket. It lists the items from the same send that went to other devices, with quantities and modifiers, so the kitchen can see the whole order instead of only its own part. It is off by default and is set per printer.
This option is only available when Split Print is set to No, print by order. If you switch Split Print to print by individual item, Show Items from Other Devices is greyed out.
Number of Order Times
In All You Can Eat concepts, to improve customer experience and reduce food waste, the kitchen can see the number of times a customer has ordered when printing the kitchen order. The kitchen can then prepare the right amount of food according to the number of orders.
Print Style
You can customize the printing style.
You can refer to the mock-up on the right to adjust the printing style.
Important: only Star Printers can use the Extra Large font size.
Once the configuration is completed, click [Save] to apply all settings.
