This guide walks you through a normal workday on Peblla POS, from signing in at the start of your shift to clocking out at the end. Each step links to the full article if you want more detail.
⚠️ Signing in and clocking in are two separate steps. Signing in with your PIN or access card lets you use the POS. Clocking in starts recording your hours. Face ID is only used when you clock in or out — it does not sign you in to the POS.
Before your first shift
Your manager sets these up for you. Ask them for your PIN before you start.
Your employee account and PIN. Your PIN is a 4–6 digit number you use to sign in to the POS. See Management - How to Create an Employee Account.
Your job. Your job (for example, Server or Host) decides whether you have to clock in before you can use the POS, and whether you need to complete a Shift Review when you clock out (your restaurant can also require a Shift Review for everyone). See Management - Permission Group & Job.
An access card (optional). If your store uses access cards, your manager binds a card to your profile so you can sign in by tapping it instead of typing your PIN. See POS Setting - Manage Access Card.
Face ID (optional). If your store uses Face ID, your manager registers your face on the POS you will clock in on. You fill in a consent form and complete a face scan. See POS Settings - Face ID Set Up.
1. Sign in to the POS
The POS opens on the Enter PIN screen. Sign in one of these ways:
PIN: Enter your PIN and tap [Go].
Access card on Counter POS: Hold your card against the NFC reader. The PIN pad shows [Access Card Reader] once your store has at least one card bound.
Access card on Mobile POS: Tap [Access Card Reader] on the PIN pad, tap [NFC Card Reader], then hold the card against the back of the device.
Note: If your manager has set you to sign in with a card only, your PIN will not work. Use your card.
2. Clock in
What happens after you tap [Go] depends on your job:
Your job requires clock-in (for example, Server or Host) and you have not clocked in yet: the time clock opens instead of the home screen. Clock in first.
You have more than one job: if any of them requires clock-in, you have to clock in. Pick the job you are working today from the list, then tap [Clock in].
Your job does not require clock-in (for example, Manager or Owner): you go straight to the home screen. You can still clock in from the time clock if you want to.
If the time clock opened right after you tapped [Go], tap [Go] again once you have clocked in. You continue to the POS without entering your PIN again.
You can also open the time clock yourself from:
The Enter PIN screen: enter your PIN, then tap [Time clock] instead of [Go]
[Time clock] next to [Log out] on the POS home screen
The table screen
Shifts > Time Clock
When you open the time clock from the Enter PIN screen, tap [Done] when you finish. You go back to the Enter PIN screen, and you still need to sign in to start working.
For more detail, see Shift - How employees clock in/clock out and hand over shifts.
Clocking in with Face ID
If Face ID is set up for you on this POS, the POS checks your face when you clock in or out. That is all Face ID does:
It confirms who is clocking in or out. It does not sign you in to the POS — to take orders, you still sign in with your PIN or access card.
It only works on the POS where your face was registered. Face ID data is not stored in the cloud, so other POS stations will not recognize you.
That POS needs a camera connected.
Note: Clock in and out on Peblla POS. Only hours recorded on Peblla POS are included in the tip pool calculation.
3. Find your way around the home screen
After you sign in (and clock in, if your job requires it), you land on the POS home screen. What you see depends on your permissions and how your store is set up. The places you will use most:
[Table Service] and [Quick Service] — start taking orders.
[Order History] — find orders that have already been placed.
[Members] — look up a member or add a new one.
[Shifts] — open the Time Clock and your Time Card.
Your name, with [Log out] and [Time clock] next to it.
4. Take a break
You can go on break without clocking out. Open your Time Card and tap [Start Break]. If your store has more than one break type, pick one first. If your store sets a minimum break time, you need a manager PIN to end your break early. See Shift - Break Function Tutorial.
5. Clock out and log out
When your shift ends, open the time clock and tap [Clock Out].
No Shift Review required: you are clocked out right away.
Shift Review required (by your restaurant or your job): the Shift Review screen opens. Complete the 4 steps on the left. The right side shows your Shift Review Summary.
Check List: shows your Unpaid Orders, Open Orders, and Closed Orders. Tap [View] to open unpaid or open orders, then pay or close them. Closed Orders are view only. You can't move on while any order is unpaid or open. Once both are 0, this step completes.
Declare Collected Cash: enter the total cash you collected, not just your cash tips, and tap [Save]. The POS splits it into Declared Collected Cash from Order and Declare Cash Tip. Check the amounts, tap [Submit & Clock Out], then tap [Confirm]. This clocks you out. After that, only a manager can change your cash tip amount. Then finish steps 3 and 4.
Collect Cash: settle cash with the restaurant using the amount on screen. If you owe cash, hand it in. If the restaurant owes you cash, take it from the cash drawer or get it from a manager. If there is nothing to settle, this step completes on its own.
Print Shift Review Summary: to get a paper copy, tap [Print] (optional). Tap [Done] to finish.
Tapping [Done] signs you out, and the POS returns to the PIN screen. See Shift - Clock In/Out & Shifts Review.
If your restaurant pays out your non-cash tips (such as card tips) from the cash drawer, step 3 is called Reconcile Cash & Tips instead. See Shift - Cash Tip Payouts at Clock Out.
⚠️ Logging out is not clocking out. [Log out] only signs you out of the POS so the next person can sign in with their own PIN or card. You stay clocked in until you clock out.

Ask your manager to replace it in Settings > Manage Access Card. The old card stops working as soon as the new one is registered. Yes. A card that was already bound to you still signs you in while the POS is offline. Your card activity uploads once the POS is back online.
