📖 Tutorial
Before You Start
Before using SMS Marketing for the first time, you’ll need:
1. SMS Marketing enabled for your restaurant group
The first time you open Enterprise Portal → Marketing → SMS Marketing, you’ll be prompted to request a toll-free number for sending marketing messages.
Follow the on-screen steps to submit your request.
Peblla will handle the number approval and configuration (typically takes ~3 weeks).
You’ll receive an email once your SMS Marketing feature is activated.
2. Access to Peblla Enterprise Portal
SMS Marketing is currently available only at the Enterprise (Group) level.
You can still run campaigns for a single store by selecting only that store during campaign setup.
Create a One-Time SMS Marketing Campaign
1. Choose your marketing objective
Go to:
Enterprise Portal → Marketing → SMS Marketing → + New SMS Campaign
You’ll see three available objectives:
① Bring back lapsed guests
Targets members who haven’t ordered in the last 7, 30, 60, or 90 days.
② Reward highest spenders
Targets high-value customers based on their average spending.
③ Custom
Send a message to all members, or to a specific member group you created earlier.
You can choose whether to send to all stores in your group or select specific stores.
2. (Optional) Add coupons
You can choose whether to include a coupon in your campaign.
If you turn on “Offer a Coupon”:
Select from any active coupons already set up in your group
Add up to 5 different coupons
Set how many coupons each guest can receive (up to 10 each)
Coupon delivery rules
You can choose who receives coupons:
Default: Only guests who receive your SMS
Send to skipped guests: Guests who received another SMS within the past 7 days will get the coupon via in-app notification
Send to unsubscribed guests: Guests who opted out of SMS will still receive the coupon via in-app notification
If you do not want to include any coupons, select “No offer.”
3. Write your SMS message
Enter the text message content that will be sent to your customers.
Message tools include:
AI text generator (choose Topic + Tone → “Generate content”)
Dynamic variables (e.g., guest’s first name, your restaurant name, loyalty points, etc.)
Real-time phone preview on the right side
Test message option to send the draft to your own phone
Message length reminder
Standard SMS = 160 characters per message
If emojis are used = 70 characters per message
Peblla automatically calculates the number of SMS messages required.
4. Schedule your send time
Choose when your campaign will be delivered.
Important rules:
SMS can only be sent between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM (local time)
If your stores are in different time zones, pick a time that works for everyone
Each customer can receive only one marketing SMS every 7 days
Peblla will automatically skip customers who reached the weekly limit
Once ready, click Submit to schedule your campaign, or Save as Draft to continue later.
