POS Quick Service - How to Use the Split Order Function

In this article, you will learn how to split an order into multiple sub-orders.

Updated over 11 months ago

When customers wish to dine together but want to pay separately for their chosen items, the split order function allows you to split the bill into multiple sub-orders. This facilitates cost sharing and individual settlement, making it easier for each party to pay for their own items.

Note:

  • Delivery orders do not support splitting.

  • For split orders, the states of the items remains the same. Order discounts are automatically removed, retaining only item discounts.

  • Multiple sub-orders can exist under one table. Each sub-order can be transferred to different tables, split further, or merged with other orders.

📖 Tutorial

The operations for splitting orders are the same in both Table Service and Quick Service modes. After adding all items, click [Edit Order], then select [Split Order] to access the split order page.

On the order split page, select the items you want to split out, click [New Order] to create a new sub-order for those items.

For split out items, you can merge them into the desired order by clicking [Add to] under the order. If there are multiple items in a sub-order, click [New Order] to continue splitting.

You can split items into multiple orders. When complete, click [Done] to apply changes.

When the order is split, the cart only displays the contents of the current order. The [Edit Order] button will show a number badge indicating the total number of split orders.

When click [Edit Order], you can view all split orders and switch between them by selecting the corresponding order. You can also click [Split Order] to continue splitting the orders further.
