In this article, we walk through how to use the Cash Management module on your POS, including cash drawer operations, cash deposits, and cash reporting.

Count the Previous Night's Drawer
If your store turns off Auto-close Cash Drawers (see Settings - Cash Drawer Settings), drawers are not closed at the business day switch, so a manager can count the night's cash the next day. At the end of the night, the cashier can tap [New Drawer] to leave the drawer for the manager, or do nothing: at the business day switch, the Active drawer changes to Open and a new Active drawer is created for the new business day.
To count and close the drawer the next day:
On the Cash Drawer page, go to the Open tab. It also lists drawers from earlier business days that are not closed yet.
Use Opened at to find the drawer from the previous business day, and tap it.
Review the drawer details. They show the drawer's full record since it was opened, not just today's activity.
Count the cash, enter the counted amount, and tap [Close Drawer]. The drawer changes to Closed.
If you need to make a cash adjustment first, do it before you close the drawer.
Closing the previous night's drawer doesn't affect the drawer that is currently Active, and doesn't create a new drawer.
If the cashier used [New Drawer] the night before, you may see two Open drawers from the previous business day: the one left at handover and the one changed to Open at the business day switch. Count and close both.
The Closed tab only shows drawers created on the current business day. A drawer from an earlier business day that you close today doesn't appear there, so you can't print its Closed Drawer Report from the Closed tab. To review it, go to Store Portal - [Report Center] - [Cash Management] - [Cash Drawer History] and search by the business day it was opened. For example, a drawer opened on Monday and closed on Tuesday appears under Monday. See Report Center - Cash Drawer History.
Print Cash Drawer Reports
You can print cash drawer reports right from the POS for shift handovers and reconciliation. Printing does not change the drawer or any amounts. You need Cash Drawer permission and a report or receipt printer set up on this POS.
Print a summary of this POS's drawers:
On the Cash Drawer page, tap [Print Report] in the top right. You can print from the Active, Open, or Closed tab.
The printed Cash Drawer Summary covers all of this POS's cash drawers for the current business day, no matter which tab you print from.
Print a report for one closed drawer:
Go to the Closed tab and open the drawer.
Tap [Print Drawer Report] below [Reopen Drawer]. You do not need to reopen the drawer to print.
The printed Closed Drawer Report covers only that drawer, from open to close. When details are included, it also lists Cash Transaction Details and No Sale Activity.
Reading the report:
Cash expected is the expected amount and Cash actual is the counted amount. SHORTAGE means the drawer is short; OVERAGE means it is over.
On the summary, CLOSED DRAWERS ONLY shows the totals for closed drawers. For drawers that are not closed yet, the counted amount and difference show N/A, not zero.
Cash payments already have cash refunds subtracted, so do not subtract Cash Refund again.
If the starting balance is marked Adjusted, it was changed. Do not count the adjustment again as Cash In.
Reports are not printed automatically when you close a drawer. If this POS has no drawers for the current business day, the report shows No drawer records.
For store-wide drawer data, go to Store Portal - [Report Center] - [Cash Management] - [Cash Drawer History].
