Gift Card - Purchase & Redeem Gift Card on POS

Through this article, you can learn how customers can purchase and activate gift cards.

Customers have the option to purchase gift cards either from our branded app or in-store through the POS system. Once the purchase is made, a confirmation email will be sent to the customer, containing their unique gift card redemption codes. To begin using the gift card for purchases, customers need to activate it through the app or the POS. Please note that the availability of gift cards to customers depends on whether you have enabled this feature on the Enterprise Portal.

In this article, we will show you how to perform e-gift card purchases and redemption on POS. For directions on how to use e-gift cards on branded apps, please visit this article.

Important

  1. The phone number entered during the gift card purchase is the only number that can receive the redemption code via text. However, the code can be used by other accounts associated with different phone numbers;

  2. Gift cards can only be used after it is activated, and once it's redeemed/activated, the cardholder cannot be changed.

How to Purchase Gift Cards on POS

When the customer wants to purchase a gift card from the POS, please click on the [Gift Card] window.

Click [Purchase Gift Card] and enter the gift card selection screen.

You have the option to either choose a cover design for customers or simply click the [Let Customer Select] button, allowing them to view and select from all available designs displayed on the screen in front of them.

Important: this function may not be accessible if you are using a tablet POS or a single-screen POS.

This is what customers would see on their side:

Select the purchase amount. If there's a discount on gift card purchases, please see the paid amount will be shown above.

Choose and enter the recipient's information.

If you choose [Family/Friend], then the customer needs to enter their contact information. Please note that the contact information is for receiving redemption codes. The gift card will not be activated or be bound to any account before redemption.

If you choose to buy [For Self], then the POS will search for member information.

You can input a note for your recipient.

Click pay to enter the payment page. Split payment is supported.

How to Redeem/Activate a Gift Card on POS

After a successful purchase, the recipient will receive an email containing the redemption code.

On the POS, click [Gift Card].

Click [Continue to Redeem] on the top right corner, and then enter the redemption code.

Enter a phone number. This number will be the account to which the gift card is associated with.

Enter member information and click send code to send the verification code to their phone. Then hit [Bind & Redeem] to complete the process.
