If an internet or power outage stops your POS from taking payments, you can keep taking payments with the Peblla Pay app on an iPhone or Android phone. Peblla Pay needs an internet connection, so use cellular data or a mobile hotspot during an internet outage.
Download the app:
iPhone: App Store
Android: Google Play
To use Tap to Pay on iPhone, your iPhone needs iOS 16.7 or later.
Upon entering the app, you will need to select an available payment channel first.
Then, sign in with your Peblla username and password. Your account needs access to the store you want to take payments for.
Select the organization and the store you want to take payments for, then follow the instructions on screen. If your account belongs to only one organization, you'll go straight to choosing the store.
Take a payment
Enter the amount and tap Charge. You can tap Add Note to add a note.
Choose how the customer is paying: Tap to Pay, Manual Credit Card Entry, or Cash. If tax applies, you can tap Remove Taxes or Add Taxes on this screen. Then tap Charge.
Finish the payment:
Tap to Pay: have the customer tap their card on your phone. Then choose a tip on the Add Tip screen and tap Submit.
Manual Credit Card Entry: enter the card details, choose a tip, and tap Confirm.
Cash: enter the amount you received. The app shows the change due. Tap Charge.
When you see Payment Successful, tap Done. To send a receipt, tap E-Receipt (see below).
Tip options are 18%, 20%, or 22% of the pre-tax subtotal, or a custom tip. Cash payments don't include a tip.
Send an e-receipt
After a payment goes through, tap E-Receipt. Have the customer enter their email address and tap Send Receipt. You'll see a confirmation that the receipt was sent. You can also send one later: open the payment on the Transactions page and tap E-Receipt. E-receipts are sent by email.
Good to know
Payments taken in Peblla Pay don't show up as orders on your POS. You can review them on the Transactions page in the app.
The Transactions page only shows payments for the payment channel you're currently using. If you switch channels, payments taken on the other channel won't appear there.
Refunds and voids aren't available in the Peblla Pay app. To refund a Peblla Pay payment, contact Peblla Support.
Peblla Pay payments aren't included in Smart Reconciliation in the Store Portal.
If something goes wrong
If you see "Unable to access the requested resource" before signing in, tap Switch Server. If you're already signed in, go to Settings > Server Configuration to switch the server. Then try again.
If payments keep failing, switch to a different payment channel from the sign-in screen. You'll need to sign in again after switching.
