Offline Mode: Peblla Service Disruption

Updated this week

Peblla's service is temporarily down — this is not caused by anything in your store. It may be due to a broader internet infrastructure outage (such as Google Cloud or AWS) affecting many services at once. There is nothing to fix. Just wait for service to be restored.

✅ DO

  • Keep serving customers — your POS still works for in-person orders

  • Use cash — safest payment option, no risk

  • Take credit cards with offline mode on (POS > Settings > Offline Mode Settings) — keep a signed receipt for every transaction
    >>> POS Setting - Offline Mode Settings

  • Pause online orders: My Restaurant App > Operation > Online Selling Status > Temporarily Closed, or Store Portal > Settings > Sales Settings

  • Turn off your Kiosk

  • Use the same POS from start to finish for each order

❌ DON'T

  • Try to troubleshoot anything in your store — there's nothing to fix here

  • Process refunds — they won't go through while offline

  • Use gift cards, loyalty discounts, or coupons — these are unavailable offline

  • Leave Kiosk or online channels running — customers will place orders your POS can't receive

  • Check Portal or the Owner App for live sales data — it won't be accurate until service is restored and everything syncs

When service is back, your POS reconnects automatically. Restore your online channels from POS > Settings. All offline orders and transactions will sync on their own.

📱 Using Peblla Pay During a Service Disruption

If you want to avoid the risk of offline credit card transactions, you can use the Peblla Pay app on your phone to collect card payments instead. Peblla Pay runs independently from the POS system, so it's not affected by a Peblla service disruption.

How it works:

  1. Open the Peblla Pay app on your phone and collect the customer's card payment there.

  2. Once payment is collected, go back to the POS and void the corresponding order. Add a note explaining it was paid via Peblla Pay.

  3. This keeps your POS records clean and avoids double-counting when everything syncs after service is restored.
