Table Service - Dining Flow Control

In this article, you will learn how to use the dining flow control function.

Updated this week

The restrictions outlined in this article apply specifically to self-service ordering for table service. This includes orders placed by customers on tablets or through table QR codes.

Self-service dining flow can be managed under the Store Portal > Table Service > Dining Flow Control.

Dining Time

Dining Time Limit

Turning on the dining time limit restricts customers to placing orders only within the set time frame. This feature is especially helpful for All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) restaurants or any scenario with timed dining.

Manual Selection:
When a table is opened, restaurant staff must manually select the time limit for that table.

Fixed Time:
A uniform time limit is applied to all tables automatically.

Apply on iPad/QR Code Ordering:
If enabled on these customer-facing platforms, customers will be prevented from placing orders once the time limit is reached.

If the time limit is applied only on the POS, servers can still place orders after time expires, but the table will be highlighted in red as a reminder that the dining time is up.

Advanced Reminder

Enabling Advanced Reminders notifies both servers and customers ahead of time when the dining period is about to end.

Order Interval and Item Quantity Limitation

Item quantity limitation can be set up by guest count or by each table.

By Table:

Choose how many item is allowed to be ordered by each table and whether there's a limitation on the total number of customers that can order each round. Then choose the items that apply.

By No. of Guests

First, choose the guest number and the corresponding number each table can order, then, similarly, apply it to the corresponding items.

Order Round Interval

Configure how long customers have to wait between each round of ordering.

Dining Notice

For disclaimers regarding gratuity, dining time, and ordering restrictions, you can customize the banner or pop-up message display to notify the customers.
