In this article, you will learn how to configure pre/post modifiers, including how to add a pre/post modifier to an add-on group and how to manage the position display when adding a prefix or suffix to an add-on group.

Note:
A single Pre/Post Modifier Group can be associated with multiple Add-on Groups, but each Add-on Group can only be bound to one Pre/Post Modifier Group.
If a prefix or suffix is added to an Add-on Group, it will not be displayed on non-POS channels.

Configure Pre/Post Modifier
Navigate to Store Portal - [Menu], select [Pre/Post Modifier], then click [+Add Group]
Enter the name of the pre/post modifier group
Click [+Add] to add a modifier
Choose [Fixed price] for extra fixed charges, or choose [Multiples of] to charge according to multiples of the add-on price. If you enter 0, it is free, which can be useful for options such as "no hot" or "no cold."
Modifier Display: Choose whether this modifier appears before or after the add-on. Select "Prefix" to display as modifier + add-on (e.g., "more beef"). Select "Suffix" to display as add-on + modifier (e.g., "beef on side").
A Pre/Post Modifier Group can be associated with multiple add-on groups. However, an add-on group can only be bound to one Pre/Post Modifier Group. Once bound, it will no longer appear in other Pre/Post Modifier Group options.
Click [Save] to create successfully
Add a Pre/Post Modifier to an Add-on group
Navigate to Store Portal - [Menu], select [Add-on], then click [Add-on Group]
To edit an add-on group, select the group and click the [Blue button]. To create a new add-on group, click [+ Add Group], which will open the editing page.
Choose a scheme in the Pre/Post Modifier Group
After choosing a scheme, the "Items Allowed" field for the quantity of items cannot be used, and the [Unlimited] option is automatically selected by default when saving.
Position Display When Adding Prefix/Suffix to Add-On Group
When configuring the Add-on Group on the editing page, a "POS Only" prompt appears after the Add-on Group is associated with the Modifier Group. "POS Only" indicates that this add-on group will be displayed exclusively on the POS channel and will not be visible on other channels.
After adding a prefix or suffix to the add-on group associated with a dish, the operation on the ordering page is adjusted:
When a dish includes add-ons, size options, and other configurations, the add-on group automatically appears in the Modifier page after the dish is selected on the POS. However, with the prefix/suffix configuration, the add-on group is moved from the Modifier section to the Adjust section. You will need to click [Adjust] to manually locate the add-on group.
When a dish is only associated with the add-on group configuration, the Modifier page will not pop up when adding dishes on the POS, even after adding a prefix or suffix to the add-on group. You will need to manually click [Modifier] to view it.
