How to Use the Scanner

  1. Scan Membership Codes
The scanner can be used to read membership codes displayed on the guest app. This allows businesses to quickly identify customers, verify their membership status, and apply any relevant benefits or discounts associated with their account.

  2. Activate QR Codes on Gift Cards
The scanner is also utilized to activate the QR codes on physical gift cards. By scanning the code, the system registers the card, making it ready for use as a gift or payment method.

  3. Notify Guests About Meal Readiness
After scanning the QR code printed on a receipt, the scanner triggers a notification system. This system sends a text message to the guest, letting them know their meal is ready for pickup or service, enhancing communication and reducing wait times.

  4. Retrieve a Saved Order
If Print Order Bar Code on Receipt is turned on in Store Portal > Settings > Receipt Settings, an unpaid check prints a bar code. Scanning it on the POS pulls the saved order straight up, so your staff can add items and take payment without searching for the order by hand.
